Carlton’s Cakes is now offering Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Level Classes for those interested in cookie, cake and pastry classes.

Course Description:
This beginner level class features a fun margarita party theme. This class is taught in a relaxed atmosphere and students are encouraged to communicate with the teachers during the class.
All sugar cookies are wheat based and are decorated with royal icing. Students will finish 8 cookies in the class: 3 cocktail cookies, 3 flower cookies and 2 lime cookies. All materials are provided including a detailed handout with recipes, cookies, icing bags and cookie decorations.
Techniques taught in this class: flooding, wet-on-wet decorating, fine detail piping, how to add highlights to cookies.
This class does not include how to make sugar cookies or how to make royal icing; both recipes and techniques are covered in the Foundation Cookie Class.

Jenean Carlton is the Executive Chef for Carlton’s Cakes. She is a professional cake artist, sugar artist, and pastry chef with 13 years of experience in the industry. Sadie Coleman is Assistant Pastry Chef for Carlton’s Cakes. She has worked with Carlton’s Cakes since 2018 and is skilled with cookie decorating, cake artistry, baking and more.
